So the snow has been gone for quite some time, yet somehow as it starts to warm up.... i get the cold? bad times uh lol, well anyway heres what i consider to be quite a lovely photo of my mum and i, i took it whilst we were walking near our house in the snow (not bad considering all the layers we had on ahah) i love the knitted scarf i have on in the photo - did the job of keeping me warm anyhow :)

Still reading my 'Influence' book by MaryKate and Ashley - and i highly recommend it! Even though its a coffee table book, i almost cried reading it the other day?  Its also filled with loads of beautiful images of the girls/ladies themselves. The Karl Lagerfeld interview is obviously the most entertaining :D
I havent been taking many photos lately? i duno, ive just lost that thrill? Ive been taking the odd one just for deviantart profile refreshment lol but hopefully soon ill get that spark back - im going to hunt out my polaroid today :] All this crap of copying and striving for originality - its seems you have to become more and more controversial with each photo.
Miami (it seems ive been blogging it forever) is like 2weeks away! I say Miami but were also going to Orlando too but the most of out time will be spent in Miami, Im hoping to hit some really good vintage stores whilst im there - they arent quite as abundant in goodies over here, and if i meet a celeb or 2 along the way? I'll be very happy!

How i missed the innocence and silence snow brings :] Right now as i predicted in my last post: its SNOWING! :D I literally stood with my hand out my bedroom window for about an hour! I'll definately be out in the snow tomorrow camera and all! I just have to hunt out some practical gloves first haha (i cut up at least 3 pairs i previously had), i breifly thought "wow id love to be a snowflake and float around" then i caught my senses and was like "but then my life would last all of fifteen seconds?" Eh how about no! haha
Things are taking a good turn for me - i found an important document i thought i had lost, my new passport arrived MUCH sooner than i thought which is a big stress away (although im still not keen on my photo), i found a gift certifacte for Amazon hidden in my room so ive treated myself to the MaryKate and Ashley Olsen book 'Influence' (which has the most beautiful cover might i add) i cant wait for it to arrive because it seems such a new idea for a bookAND last but not least ive just been commisioned for a poster design for a nightclub here where i live which means more money saved for my trip to Miami which is creeping up $_$
The trip at the minute stands at Home > Maimi > Orlando > Bahamas > Miami > Home! :( lol all in 2weeks! ah i'll be so tired but im a sucker for plane journeys so there wont be a dull moment in sight for me.
Thinking back to MaryKate and Ashley, does anyone ever wonder if by some freak accident they were one of those stories of identical twins being separated? I myself would love a twin.... hmmm.....
Anyway id best be off to sleep, i was on the phone to Viki and we both promised we'd be in bed by 11:30 so we can get up early which gives me... 8minutes!

So its into February and were expecting snow any day now :D Im so excited, i know the whole winter theme in photography etc may have passed but for my own personal pleasure it means plenty of photo opportunities! I intend to get out there and brave it.
Good and Bad thing next - my Britney bedroom is no longer :( I swapped with my brother for a bigger room so it meant i had to strip my old one to make way for him! But my friend viki and i did make this really fun video in the process:

Ah! its been like 2 weeks, apologies :] So yeh 2009 has settled in by now. Nothing has changed for me although im trying to look at how everything seems to be getting better for my own piece of mind lol Ive been seeing way more Magpies which i consider luck, Ive been saving nicely for my trip to Miami in March :) AND who i can now call a friend: Alex Evans kindly asked me to help him out with his new clothing range by modelling for the site. Im not making a big deal out of nothing - for me it was a pleasure thats all. I really love his past and present designs and it's also a great little portfolio filler for me :] Here's the first shot used for the site: www.soimpolite.comi have nothing else new, well, except a rather annoying tootache now :/ ugh. Life really does choose its moments to throw things at you. But we need to get around it all dont we? What we overcome brings us wisdom and pride in ourselves. I recently thought up this little saying and i knida like the morals of it: "If spilling a drink taught us anything, It was how to clean it up." I dont know if anyone will get what i mean by that but its not one of those 'in your face' sayings. Somewhat belated, but Happy New Year! :]
Jeeze 2008 flew in for me?! and how did i end it? haha Drunk with my friends of course lol Thank goodness its 2009 though i hate writing '8's lol im not too neat at them. Well ive made a whole new set of resolutions and i hope you have too and i intend to stick to them as i did in 2008 - yes thats right I ACTUALLY STUCK to my resolutions of last year haha now ive to make a whole new set :)
I dont know what is on its way for me in this year but i have this wierd feeling it should be good, I mean as good as 2008 was, at times it was also verry low :/ but hey it makes us us. And although this could be seen as a very bad sign im taking some good out of it: New Years day aka yesterday i was violently ill all night and i have actually nothing left inside of me - im taking this as a 'clear out' a fresh new start - literally as i have no traces of the old ha!
I have an exciting little project going on right now - more will be revealed soon but its an opportunity i am very grateful to this person for ;]
So yes, i shall keep you informed over the next few days

So its 1:34am CHRISTMAS DAY/ MORNING lol and reverting back to a time when 'santa was real' for me: i cant sleep ha
Im listening to a vintage bunch of ballads to try and calm me but my eyes still glow.. As much as i hate to admit it - Beyonce's new Halo has creeped in there and im beginning to regret listening to it as it spins round and round and round and round and .. in my head.
Here's a new video i posted to my Youtube of my friend Han Han and I stupidly intoxicated :) Later that night we ended up walking to a friends and slept on the floor sharing a towel for a pillow and a rug for a blanket?... Lmfao i dont get how i managed to sleep either?.. oh yeh, the drink. ha!
Back to the point: "MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE" and since its now 1:39am.. "AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!"

Can anybody stop the wind? Please, Its driving me crazy - i do my hair, open the door to leave the house and its ruined ha! Well.. its not quite so funny at the time  :]
Lately, my best friend Viki has been feeling down because of an absess making her tooth sore, and i can totally understand how she feels :/ Its an awful experience if youve ever had one? So i got her a little something to cheer her up: Beads would you believe it :D Were working on new tshirt designs, sewing the beads on them and stupid me chose THE smallest size haha, patience is a virtue, right? lol I'll keep you posted with how i get on but this one will take forever.
Also last night i was at my friends Christmas fancy dress party :] The theme was 'School Play' where you go as something you were in a school play, so i had the choice of: A soldier, A star or a character from the musical Grease! lmao i chose to be a star - keep it festive and all :D lol It was an amazing night which got a tad crazy at times: Absinthe, Mistletoe kisses and even some people ended up surfing the staircase on a roadside 'Diversion' sign!? haha Here's a taste of what happened at the partyps - excuse my 'not drunk i promise' face haha!
Well im off to brave the wind and meet my friends for a quick shop before we go out tonight :]

I love when things like this happen lol: i stumbled across my digital camera, tucked under some clothes in my wardrobe from summer and found a video on it that i had taken when with some friends to our 6th annual trip to the Butterfly farm. It was funny to look back at ourselves because ALL our hairstyles have changed - Mine, Kelly and Hannah's are considerably shorter, Vicki in the front is Brunette and Loren no longer has her pink hair :] And the clothes too that we no longer wear (Its a shame for the tshirt i have courtesy of Alex Evans, but its just so damn cold here). Here it is :]
Since i last blogged ive had my work christmas doo which went well, i ended up having to swap shoes with someone because they hadnt broke in their own new ones and wouldnt stop complaining - but hey it was my good deed done for the day ;] LOL Ive also been making a good few tshirt's: a Courtney Love design and a Cole  Mohr design for myself, and the same Courtney Love design for a new friend in Canada :D Hope they like it when they get it.
Congratulations also go out to Britney for getting another #1 album, im so proud to be a fan and contribute to that success. Christmas is so soon - almost too soon as i still have a few more presents to get but i'll get all that sorted, then its New Year! Ah plans! What have you planned for New Years eve? perhaps you could give me a few ideas haha

Ok, apologies now if this ends up very / too long, but i think in my last entry i should have mentioned a little more about myself before jumping the gun on how cold it is (its still just as cold, if not colder) lol.
Im from the UK, the smaller of the 2 islands and the north of that lol AKA: Northern Ireland. But if most of you are like me, you'll kinda feel like you either dont belong or just would prefer to live somewhere else. Its ok here, but its never anything exciting and i hate wearing layers upon layers of clothes so the weather doesnt suit me :] Maybe its not even that, maybe if i had something or someone to stay for then i'd feel more settled. My friends are all here and yeh i couldnt live without them, but we all dream of a perfect lovestory like 'The Notebook' lol and so far mine hasnt happened here. Should i go looking for it or have the patience of a Bhuddist Monk? My guess is i shouldnt rush into anything and wait for that right someone who will be honest and romantic towards me.
I guess im 'growing up' but when im actually grown up, in the sense that it looks as though thats the life im stuck with, i dont know what i want to be or do. Ive went through the list rather alot quicker than expected: Fireman, Chef, Painter, Architect, Interior designer, Fashion designer and im now considering photography but who knows how long that'll last? Perhaps i should just sponge off a ridiculously famous celebrity who'll have me? ha But i could never degrade myself like that :/
Right now im fine working in a local restaraunt, winking at old folks in the hope for bigger tips HA! looking forward to silly events like my Miami holiday and the Britney concert! :D Im going to start a portrait tonight of my 2 cousins, my auntie requested one ages ago so im following my livejournal suit and getting round to it, hopefully i'll finish it before Christmas which will make a nice present. It takes me so long since im a bit of a perfectionist, and for some reason i work better lying on the floor so my elbows always get really sore over long periods lol. I'll no doubt post a picture of it on my DeviantART so you can check it out and ask any questions that i might be able to help with :]
